Hurooful Jar Table – Practise Writing

Hurooful Jarr make the word that comes after them genitive (which means that usually it takes a kasrah or kasrataan, though there are exceptions).  Some examples (these are not all of the hurooful jarr):

هَذَا الكِتَابُ لِمُحَمَّدٍ

This book is for Muhammad ( or is Muhammad’s)

 

 

ذَهَبْتُ إِلَى المَسْجِدِ

I went to the Masjid

 

السَاعَةُ في جَيْبِكَ

The watch is in your pocket
(fee has many meanings and means more than just “in”)

 

سَعِيْدٌ كَأَسَدٍ

Sa’eed is like a lion

 

هُوَ مِن الهِنْدِ

He is from India

 

الدَفْتَرُ عَلَى المَكْتَبِ

The notebook is on the desk

 

اِغْسِلْ أَيْدَكَ بِصَابُوْنٍ

Wash your hands with soap
