Shaikh Rabee on Saudi’s war against the Houthi Raafidhah

September 3, 2015

The following was translated from:

http://www.sahab.net/home/?p=1611

The Noble Scholar Rabee bin Umair al Madkhalee said:

All the praise is for Allaah alone and may the salaah and the salaam be upon the Messenger of Allaah, his family, his Companions, and whoever follows his guidance.  As for what follows:

Indeed I, and every Muslim who is truthful in his religion, we direct abundant thanks to the Custodian of the two Noble Holy Masjids (in Makkah and Medinah): the King Salmaan bin Abdul ‘Azeez Aal as-Sa’ood – (we ask that) Allaah preserves him and guides his steps – due to what he has begun from directing precise military strikes against the Raafidah (Shia) who hate Islaam and the Muslims.  They (the Raafidah) are those who surpass the Jews and the Christians in warring against Islaam and the Muslims.  This is a war which they have inherited from their predecessors – the enemies of the noble Companions and (the enemies of) all who follow them (the Companions) in beliefs, statements, and actions.

And in doing this, O Custodian of the two Noble Sanctuaries, this is helping Islaam.  The Muslims will never forget this (action), nor will history.  I ask that Allaah helps you against your enemies, that He suppresses them, and that He cuts off their roots.  Indeed my Lord is The One Who hears and answers the supplication.

Likewise I ask that He, The Most High, grants success to the rulers of the Muslims who share in this honorable war that is for the purpose of safeguarding the beliefs, legislation, and rulings of Islaam – and as an obligation to their people to raise and educate them upon these tremendous fundamental principles.

Drawing pictures depicting people or events from the Quran

July 2, 2015

Taken from http://www.alifta.com fatwa no. 18828

Praise be to Allah, Alone, and peace and blessings be upon the Last Prophet!

The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta’ reviewed the question submitted to His Eminence the Grand Mufty by the Deputy Director of the Cooperative Office For Da`wah and Guidance in Al-Quway`iyyah, under no. (5/17/KH), dated 15 Muharram, 1417 A.H., and it was referred to the Committee by the Secretariat General of the Council of Senior Scholars under no. 894 on 9 Safar, 1417A.H. The following is the wording of the question:

What is the ruling on drawing pictures to illustrate the Ayahs (Qur’anic verses) such as drawing camels and writing beneath the picture His (Exalted be He) statement: Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? Etc.? We hope that you would issue a Fatwa in this regard.

(Part No. 1; Page No. 308)

After studying the matter, the Committee replied:

It is Haram (prohibited) to illustrate the Qur’an using pictures that show parables of the prophets and the messengers of Allah (peace be upon them), pious people, Kafirs (disbelievers), devils, and beings such as trees, and the like. It is not permissible to draw, print, publish, or use such pictures regardless of the good intentions of the artist such as; making the Ayahs easy for the children or new Muslims to understand, or any other reasons. The legal violations involved include:

1. Drawing pictures of beings with souls or trees, etc. To illustrate the Qur’an is a Bid`ah (innovation in Islam). It contradicts the Manhaj (methodology) of the scholars in explaining the meanings of the Qur’an in the present and past.

2. This act devalues the Qur’an and belittles its glorious meanings.

3. It is a way to explain its meaning by ways which Allah (Glorified be He) did not legislate.

4. Drawing prophets and messengers make them subject to mockery,

(Part No. 1; Page No. 309)

contempt, and disdain. Anyone who draws their pictures commits a great sin as mocking any Prophet is Kufr (disbelief) as mentioned in the Qur’an.

5. Drawing imaginary pictures of prophets is an evident reason behind Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship), and marred monotheism. Allah informed us of those who worshiped Wadd, Suwa`, Yaghuth, Ya`uq, and Nasr (names of their idols). Allah states, And they have said: ‘You shall not leave your gods: nor shall you leave Wadd, nor Suwâ‘ …nor Yaghûth, nor Ya‘ûq nor Nasr’ (these are the names of their idols) And indeed they have led many astray. The people of Nuh (Noah, peace be upon him) became disbelievers when they carved the pictures of those righteous people and erected their statues in their gatherings. This lead them to worship those people.

6. Taswir (painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography) of beings with a soul is Haram (prohibited). There are many authentic Hadiths related from the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the Sihah (authentic books), Sunan, and Musnads that indicate the prohibition of the Taswir of any being with a soul, whether human or not. There are also many Hadiths that urge defacing pictures, cursing the image makers, and that they will be the most grievously tormented people on the Day of Resurrection. Here are some of the authentic Hadiths that were mentioned in this regard. It is recorded in the Two Sahih (authentic) Books of Hadith (i.e. Al-Bukhari and Muslim), on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that

the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stated, Allah (Exalted be He) stated, “Who can be more unjust than he

(Part No. 1; Page No. 310)

who tries to create the like of My creatures? Let them (i.e. I challenge them to) create an atom (or a small ant), a grain of wheat or a grain of barley!” (The wording is cited according to the narration of Muslim)

It was also related in them on the authority of Ibn Mas`ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, The people who will receive the severest punishment from Allah will be the picture makers. It is also recorded in the Two Sahihs on the authority of Ibn `Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, Those who make statues would be punished on the Day of Resurrection and it would be said to them: Breathe soul into what you have created.” (The wording is cited according to the narration of Al-Bukhari)

`Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) related, “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came to me, and I had screened my alcove with a curtain on which there were pictures. When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saw it, he tore it and the color of his face changed (due to anger) and he said, ‘O `Aishah! The people who will receive the severest punishment on the Day of Resurrection will be those who imitate Allah’s Creation.’ So we tore it up and we stuffed a cushion or two cushions with it.” (Related by Muslim) This is in addition to many other Hadiths to this effect.

It is not permissible to explain the Qur’an in this manner; it is not permissible to explain the Hadith related by the Prophet (peace be upon him) in this manner for the same reasons mentioned above.

May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.

Some of the statements of the Scholars on Muhammad al Imaam and the pact he signed with the Shia

Briefly: Imaam Maalik bin Anas

Taken from Shaikh Uthaymeen’s explanation of Lum’atul I’tiqaad p.37

The answer of the Imaam Maalik bin Anas bin Maalik, and his father was not Anas bin Maalik the Companion (Sahaabee), rather, his father was someone else. Maalik’s grandfather was from the major scholars of the Taabi’een (the generation after the Companions). His great grandfather was from the Companions.

Maalik wa born in Madinah in the year 93 after the Hijrah and he died in Madinah in the year 179 after the Hijrah. He was from those who followed the Taabi’een (i.e. the third generation of Muslims and from those the Prophet Muhammad – sallallaahu alayhe wa sallam – praised in the hadeeth (translated): The best people are those in my generation, then the generation following them, then the generation following them… (i.e. the first 3 generations) – Sahih Bukhari, Book of Witnesses, narrated by Zahdam bin Mudrab)

Refutations of Tahir Wyatt

August 1, 2014

Shaikh Rabee on Tahir Wyatt 3 years ago:

http://www.salafitalk.net/st/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=9&Topic=12547

“After I studied this matter, I found that he (i.e. Tahir Wyatt) was refuting Salafees in the West and harming them, and he would accompany those who were splitting the ranks of the Salafees. And recently some articles have been posted on Kulasalafiyyeen[1] relating to this matter. These things are an indication of something. The next matter is that he refused to speak about Abul-Hasan al-Ma`ribee, but his soul allows him to rebuke Salafees. How is it easy for him to attack Salafees here and there and he finds it difficult to speak a word of truth about Abul-Hasan al-Ma`ribee.  If he (i.e. Tahir Wyatt) was a Salafee, then this would not be his condition.

Under the advice of some of the Scholars, 3 years ago, some students wrote a comprehensive response to Tahir Wyatt, Muhammad Akhtar Chaudry, and Nadir Ahmed unveiling the reality of madeenah.com and fatwa-online (most articles can be downloaded at this link):

A Treasure from the Treasures of Paradise

March 18, 2014

In Gateway ( مفتاح العربية ) Book 4, p.47, the expression:

لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

(There is neither might nor power except with Allaah)

This expression is defined in the vocabulary box and after the definition is given for it, it says:

– an expression indicating despair or annoyance”

Imaam Ibn Baz – rahimahullah – said1:

The statement:

لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

(There is neither might nor power except with Allaah)

Is a tremendous statement.  The Prophet – sallallaahu alayhe wa sallam – said to Abu Musa al-Ash’aree – radiallaahu anhu – regarding it:

‘Shall I not direct you to a treasure from the treasures of Paradise? (It is the statement) Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaah (There is neither might nor power except with Allaah).’2

So it is appropriate to increase in saying it at all times – in the mornings, in the evenings, and other than those times.”

Shaikh AbdurRazzaq bin Abdul Muhsin al-Badr – hafithahullah – said3:

Its meaning is: A person doesn’t change from one state to another, nor is any strength gained by the servant except with Allaah – meaning with His Allowance – He is The Most High and Free from all deficiencies and defects.

A person doesn’t change from sickness to health, nor from misguidance to guidance, nor from disbelief to faith, nor from weakness to strength, nor from fragility to firmness except with Allaah (granting him that) – He is The Most High and Free from all deficiencies and defects.

So all of the affairs of a person and all of his situations are in the Hand of Allaah – He is The Most High and Free from all deficiencies and defects.

‘There is neither might nor power except with Allaah’ means: you can’t do any action except if Allaah helps you with it…

It is legislated for the Muslim when he leaves his house that he says:

بِاسْمِ اللهِ, تَوَكَلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ, لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

(In the Name of Allaah, I put my trust in Allaah, there is neither might nor power except with Allaah)

It is from the Sunnah that he says that every time he leaves his house4. And in this (statement) is a request for help – that Allaah, The Mighty and Majestic, helps him with whatever he is about to do that is from the beneficial good deeds in his religion and his worldly affairs.”

4From the hadeeth narrated by Anas bin Malik that the Prophet Muhammad – sallallaahu alayhe wa sallam – said:

من قالَ يَعني إذا خرجَ من بيتِهِ : بِسمِ اللَّهِ ، توَكَّلتُ على اللَّهِ ، لا حَولَ ولا قوَّةَ إلَّا باللَّهِ ، يقالُ لَهُ : كُفيتَ ، ووُقيتَ ، وتنحَّى عنهُ الشَّيطانُ

Whoever says when he leaves his house: ‘Bismillaah, tawakkaltu ‘alaallaah,  Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaah’ (In the Name of Allaah, I put my trust in Allaah, there is neither might nor power except with Allaah), is sufficed and protected and Shaytaan withdraws from him.”

Imaam al-Albaanee said that it was Saheeh in Saheeh at-Tirmidhee (3426)
