…I direct some advice to everyone who hears it from us at this time – and you who are listening – regarding the subject of being eager to present the Mashaayikh, the teachers, and the speakers.  In reality, something which is not good has appeared among our sons (the Muslims): every one wants to say: “I brought the Shaikh to my masjid” not caring whether this (shaikh) is qualified so that knowledge can be taken from him or whether he is not qualified and knowledge is not taken from him.  All that is important (to this person) is that he brought a Shaikh.  Who is this Shaikh?  After that, look and you will find the most amazing of things.  He (the Shaikh) is either from the well-known people of innovation and desires that this person (who brought him) was ignorant of (him being from them).  So how many people have desired good but have not achieved it – as Umar – (we ask that) Allaah, the Most High, be pleased with him – said.

 

So he is ignorant of him (being from the people of innovation and desires) and he brings him to the people and perhaps he causes them to become attached to him. Then after that an attachment is formed between him and them so he leads the astray and he (the one who ignorantly brought this person to the people) is the cause of this.  And perhaps he will bring a Hizbee whom he is also ignorant of his condition so he falls into this calamity and causes others to fall into it.  And more amazing than that is that you see our sons in these times, after the ax has fallen into the head and cleaved it in two, he comes and asks (about the condition of this person).  So he is like the one who ends his recitation (of Quran) and then says: “I seek refuge with Allaah from the cursed shaytaan. In the name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy.” after he has ended his recitation.  After he has brought him (to the people) he asks about him.  This is not correct.  The affair is the opposite.  If you were wise, you would ask before you acted.  Because this is what Allaah has instructed us:

 

So know (O Muhammad – sallallaahu alayhe wa sallam) that Lâ ilâha ill-Allâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh), and ask forgiveness for your sin, and also for (the sin of) believing men and believing women.”1 (47:19)

 

So He began with knowledge before statements and actions. So you must ask (about a person’s condition) before you act (by taking knowledge from them or directing the people to them).  Why is it that after you have brought him, you say: “What is his condition?”  This is not correct. So when the likes of this happen, and when deviation amongst the people happens due to this one you have brought while you didn’t know him (his state) – for the people are under your care.  So it is obligatory for you to  investigate (an individual before you put him in front of the people to teach) as our salaf used to investigate (them) in the time of good at the beginning of this ummah.

 

  The era of (Imaam) Maalik and those with him (from the scholars).  They would investigate (them).  So perhaps we can say that today is the era of widespread tribulations (fitan), of much turning about of the people, and of their changing (for the worse). What is obligatory upon us is that we have even more concern (for investigation of individuals). This affair – and I say this because it has spread in these times – that our brothers have begun to bring those who are not qualified (to teach) then they ask us about them. And they may bring to us some of the statements of these people which would make the small students of knowledge laugh.  That is because these people in reality are not qualified to have people studying under them….’

This is an advise from Shaykh Bazmool, found on the site http://www.sahab.net concerning the person that is not able to reach the scholars in person.

How to seek knowledge if you can’t reach the people of Knowledge

Shaykh Ahmad bin Umar Bazmool

Question: What does a person who wants to seek knowledge do if he is not able to reach the people of knowledge? Do they suffice with taking knowledge from books, and what is the methodology of doing so in this case?

The Shaykh repeated the question and asked:

Is the person an Arabic speaker or a non Arabic speaker?

The questioner responds that he is as Arabic speaker.

The Shaykh answers:

As for seeking knowledge, the origin is that the Muslim travels to the scholars to gain knowledge from them if he does not have a scholar in his locality. What is befitting for him is to travel to the scholars if he is able. All praise is for Allah (Aza wa Jel), during our present time means of communicating with the scholars have become widespread. (It has become easy for us to communicate with) the scholars who are upon the straight methodology and safe aqeedah, but we will lay (mention) some easy affairs for the one seeking knowledge in our present time so that a person can seek knowledge while he is in the confines of his home.

This is done in the following ways:

1. If he is able to call a scholar (one upon the Sunnah) if he has the financial means, him and a group of his friends can attend a class with the scholar. This is a means of seeking knowledge.

2. Another way which is also easy it that an individual for example travels to Saudi Arabia for Hajj or Umrah and during his visit, he buys tapes of the people of knowledge that are well known for their correct beliefs and methodology. (A person) can also request someone else who is traveling to buy these tapes for them. Thereafter the individual listens to these audio recordings, he listens to the speech of the people of knowledge. It is, by the permission of Allah, as if he is in front of the scholar.

3. If an individual is able to be consistent with the classes on the radio, for example the classes of Shaykh Saleh al Fawzan or other than him (may Allah preserve him) from the scholars that are well known who’s classes are broadcasted on the Quraan radio station (KSA). It is upon the individual to be consistent with this program. This is very good, but at the same time, I warn of some stations that have lessons with individuals whose affairs are not known or those who are known to have deviated from the salafi methodology. Verily, one does not take knowledge from these stations for indeed those individuals that are unknown or have deviated from the correct path and the salafi methodology; one does not take knowledge from them. This is because knowledge is from the religion, so let everyone look to who he takes his knowledge from. (Unclear sentence) Verily if you seek knowledge from a person of innovation or a man that you do not know his religion, you do not know if is methodology is safe or unsafe. And the methodology (of an individual) is known by either being widespread or asking the salafi scholars. You say to them: We have an individual so and so, do you know this person? If they reply: We know him to have the correct methodology and belief. Then one can take from him, but if they say, we don’t know him then you should continue to ask until you find out about him.

4. By way of internet, for indeed there are (paltalk) rooms for Shaykh Zayd al Madkhali, Shaykh Ahmad an Najmee and Shaykh Rabee al Madkhali and other than them from the salafi scholars. There are also rooms for some salafi students of knowledge, classes that an individual can go on the internet and enter these rooms and schedule classes for himself. I also warn from intensive lessons from some directions that it is not known who is teaching. An individual says: I take the lesson and I just continue upon my way! I warn you of this. I warn you from taking lessons from rooms that either have individuals who are unknown or they are known for incorrect beliefs. Do not be deceived because an individual teaches in such and such university or such and such institute etc… verily these titles: (BA, MA, PhD) do not benefit and do not satisfy ones hunger. The respect of an individual is the praise of the salafi scholars for them, and their knowledge of them. A person merely being a doctor and the likes, an individual may in fact be a revolutionist. So be aware and do not be deceived by his degree (unclear words) I am informing you of sources for seeking knowledge but there might be some sort of danger in some of them, so I have to warn you from this danger.

Other means of seeking knowledge similar to what was mentioned by the questioner, such as reading books.

But in reading books there are also things one should be cautious of:

1. If a person does not have knowledge, he can misunderstand something

2. He may incorrectly pronounce words

3. He may read from whoever comes and goes and the affair becomes confusing to him. He reads from the people of Ahlus Sunnah and he, for example reads from the people of innovation, and he does not distinguish between the two. But on the other hand, if he knows the arabic language, he understands the speech and he has sat with the people of knowledge and he has some foundations for example; the foundations that by the permission of Allah, he is able to continue reading, writing and researching, then this is ok.

But he should be aware of the following matters:

1. He should refer to the speech of the scholars, not depend on his own understanding

2. He must be diligent and read the books of the people of sunnah, those known with the correct methodology and belief only!

3. When he is able to reach the Ulamaa, it is upon him to do so. To go to them, to refer back to them, to ask them.

4. His reading of books is done so out of need he does not make this his means of seeking legislated knowledge, rather, he takes if from the mouths of the scholars just as the salaf took it from the Prophet (sallahu alayhi wa salam) and his students and those who came after took it from the salaf. This is (the way) knowledge (should be sought). If a person merely takes it from books, and reads from those who are not known, then a person may deviate. Verily knowledge is obtained by seeking it and having a relationship (with the people of knowledge). The purpose of seeking knowledge is not merely to have abundant amounts of information; verily there are affairs that are related to knowledge, such as its manners and understanding. It is because of this, ignorance and mistakes have increased for the individual who has made reading books a habit instead of sitting with the scholars.

These are some means of seeking knowledge that I advise myself and the questioner with. Allah knows best, and may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon the Messenger Muhammad, his family and his companions.

Some Advice in Seeking Knowledge – Shaikh Ahmad Bazmool

…As for the first matter, and it is that a person thinks that this knowledge is heavy and that he doesn’t understand it

Then this is an error

This is an error

Knowledge is easy

Knowledge is easy

And We have indeed made the Qur’ân easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?”1(Al-Qamar 54:17)

And the Prophet – (we ask that) Allah raise his rank and grant him peace – said:

I was sent with Haneefiyyah ‘samhah’”

And ‘samhah’ means: easy, clear

So there is nothing in the deen which is difficult or hard

Then what is the problem?

The problem could be in your choosing the wrong level of studies

Meaning: you may need to study some of these issues before attending the likes of these big lessons

Because knowledge, as Az-Zuhree said – is “Awdiyah”2

Whoever desires it

Whoever seeks it all at once

It leaves him all at once

And as some of the Salaf said:

Knowledge is like a ladder

You must climb it step by step3

If you want to climb it all the way to the top (without being ready), you’ll fall

So you must go in levels (step by step)

So then there is nothing heavy regarding knowledge, nor difficult

Additionally you must take care to learn the knowledge you need from the Quran and Sunnah

Specifically the matters of aqeedah and the matters of worship

Specifically the matters of beliefs and the matters of worship

These are matters which are easy and clear, with the Permission of Allah, Lofty and Exalted is He

Meaning, a person may want to study in the beginning, for example, some of the higher Islamic sciences

So he considers knowledge to be hard – and without a doubt this is a mistake

Rather, learn the Quran and the Sunnah with their proper understanding. Because they are, with the Permission of Allah – Lofty and Exalted is He – two beneficial matters for you

Additionally from what is important in learning:

Choosing a teacher who is good at teaching

Additionally from what is important is that you – O Seeker of Knowledge – give importance to this knowledge

You prepare before attending (class)

You concentrate in class

You review after class

What happens (nowadays)?

What happens is that the Seeker of Knowledge doesn’t prepare

And maybe he comes (to class) without his book

When he attends, he is turning right and left

When he leaves, he doesn’t review what he learned and heard

Not even at least to review the matn (text)

And the next time, he says, “I don’t understand”

No, the problem is not that you don’t understand

The problem is that you are negligent in seeking knowledge

And in the way you seek knowledge

For indeed the Salaf and the People of Knowledge, from what has been mentioned in their biographies, prepared for the lesson before attending.

On top of that, they memorized the text which they were studying before the lesson

Then when they attended, they concentrated and busied themselves with listening to the lesson

Then when they left, they reviewed and made firm what they had studied and learned

So knowledge, its life-blood is review

And knowledge is built upon memorization and understanding

Whoever Allah combines for him memorization and understanding of the knowledge

Then indeed Allah, Lofty and Exalted is He, has opened for him a door in knowledge

So here it becomes clear to us why some people consider it (knowledge) heavy

And why some of them say, “I don’t understand”

The problem is not in the knowledge

The deficiency is within ourselves

The deficiency is within ourselves….

 

…And that one knows that time is from gold

Rather, by Allah, it is more valuable than gold…

 

…And know – (we ask that) Allah bless you – and this is an important matter – that the intention behind seeking knowledge is to act upon it

And the intention behind seeking knowledge is to get closer to Allah – Exalted and Lofty is He

And to worship Allah upon baseerah (insight)

The intention behind seeking knowledge is not to gather a lot of information

This is an opening for Shaitaan which is very dangerous for the students of knowledge

So you find one of them taking an interest in knowledge: for knowledge

So the goal of seeking knowledge is made to be: knowledge

And knowledge isn’t like that

The praiseworthy knowledge isn’t like that

Rather, knowledge is a light which Allah – Lofty and Exalted is He – puts in the heart of the Seeker of Truth

A light which Allah – Lofty and Exalted is He – puts in the heart of the Seeker of Truth

And this light is built upon knowledge, sincerity (ikhlaas) and following (the sunnah)

And it is not just a light without knowledge or action

But seeking the pleasure of Allah – Lofty and Exalted is He

And seeking to please Allah – Lofty and Exalted is He

And seeking knowledge to act upon it

This is the success for the servant from Allah – Lofty and Exalted is He

As for seeking knowledge only for knowledge

Then this is an opening for Shaytaan

Diverting the Seeker of Knowledge from acting (upon his knowledge)

And this opens upon him an opening

So he doesn’t improve in action

And from the most evil results of this type of thinking

I mean the type of thinking of the one who considers (seeking) knowledge to be only for knowledge

Is that he even seeks knowledge from an innovator

Even from an innovator

Because he looks at the knowledge and doesn’t look at the deen

Who is the one Ahlus Sunnah would exalt?

Ahlus Sunnah would exalt the Follower of the Truth, even if his knowledge was little

And they would have a low opinion of the Opposer to the Truth, even if his knowledge was great

And they didn’t exalt him due to his knowledge

And they didn’t exalt him due to his knowledge

…When you see a man loving the person of innovation

And loving the innovator

And he knows his condition4

Then he is with them

Like what has been reported from some of the Salaf

That a man was asked about

So it was said: “We don’t know him”

Someone said: “Who are his companions?”

They said: “The Qadariyyah”

He said: “Then he is Qadari like them”

So a person is put along with his close companion…

 

…Whoever loves a person of the Sunnah – it is a proof for his (being upon the) Sunnah

Likewise whoever loves the person of innovation while he knows about him (that he is on innovation) – it is a proof for his (being upon) innovation

With regards to the conditions necessary for ruqyah to be permissible, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al ‘Uthaymeen rahimahullaah states:

The first: that (the person) hold as his ‘aqeedah that it (the ruqyah) does not bring benefit in and of itself, instead of Allaah (bringing the benefit).

For if he holds as his ‘aqeedah that it brings benefit in and of itself to the exclusion of Allaah, then this is prohibited without doubt.

Rather he (should) hold as his ‘aqeedah that it (the ruqyah) is a means, which does not bring benefit without the permission of Allaah.

The second: that it (the ruqyah) not be from that which opposes the Legislation, just as (would be the case) if it were to contain calling upon other than Allaah or seeking deliverance from the jinn or whatever resembles that.  Then it would be something prohibited without doubt.

The third: that it (the ruqyah) be something intelligible and known. For if it  is from the types of tilasm (talismanic mysterious words) and trickery then it is not permissible.

Brothers Who Seek Knowledge BUT Neglect Their Families

QUESTION

What advice can be offered to the Muslim men who seek knowledge at Islaamic centers, get involved in various affairs of da’wah, and then socialize with the brothers (at the masjid and elsewhere), while neglecting their families’ rights in the process? Their families suffer due to their absence and neglect. Aren’t they able to study and also work to provide for their families?

Since I know many brothers in this situation, I thought many people would benefit from any advice you have to offer.

ANSWER by Shaykh Muhammad ‘Umar Baazmool, instructor at Umm Al-Quraa University in Makkah ( Click here to listen to his answer in ‘Arabic )

The Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) said,

“Verily your wife has a right over you, and verily your guest has a right over you, and verily your body has a right over you…” [1]

So based on this, I say that providing for one’s family, spending on them, and tending to their affairs, are all obligations without doubt. A man’s involvement in affairs of da’wah is part of a group responsibility, something recommended. If others are establishing this duty, then he is not obliged to be involved.

Without a doubt, a man’s taking care of his individual obligations has more of a right than his taking care of recommended things, or things that others are handling sufficiently.

So if there is a conflict between the obligations related to his children, wife, guests, or his own self, and the general benefit of being involved in affairs of da’wah, then I say – No! Taking care of your obligations related to your wife and children, your guests, your household, and your own self must be given priority over your involvement in affairs of da’wah, because these things are obligations, while your involvement in affairs of da’wah is recommended so long as the da’wah is not totally dependent upon you and there are others who are taking care of it.

Therefore, you are falling into sin by neglecting the rights of your family! And you do not have the right to justify this and say that you are busy with affairs of da’wah, since this is not something that excuses you and makes you free of sin in this case. You are falling short by taking this route.

Look to the example of the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam)! He used to establish the obligatory affairs of da’wah, calling to the Way of Allaah, the Glorified and Exalted. With this, ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said, “The Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) used to be in the service of his family. When he heard the athaan, he left for the prayer as if he did not even know us.” [2]

She also mentioned that he used to bring water to the family, milk the goats, etc. He used to take care of the affairs that were needed in his household, things needed by his wives. And the Messenger of Allaah was our role model and example.

So did the Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) fail to tend to his wives’ affairs? Did the Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) neglect his other obligations because of his involvement in da’wah, and he was the Messenger!? Of course, the answer is no.

Likewise, anyone who wants to call to the Way of Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, he must first take care of his own individual responsibilities. Then, after that, he can involve himself in recommended affairs.

But to do as some of the brothers do, may Allaah guide them to the Straight Path, they leave their families and dependents, fall short in taking care of the affairs of their households, some of them on the border of total poverty, not working to make money for their families, not seeking any provisions for their families, thinking that he is doing all of this for the sake of da’wah, this is ignorance, no doubt, a serious form of neglect, and a contradiction to the Sunnah of the Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam).

And we do not know anything from the Sunnah of the Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam), nor from the Sunnah of the Companions (may Allaah be pleased with them), nor from the Sunnah of the righteous successors or other than them, that they used to behave in this way.

Look at Aboo Bakr As-Siddeeq, Ameer Al-Mu’mineen of his time (after the death of the Messenger sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam)! He used to go out and make money and he was the leader of the Muslims! So it was said to him, “O Ameer Al-Mu’mineen! If you would only sit in your house…”

He replied, “Then who will take care of my family? Who will make money for their needs?” So the Companions then got together and agreed that they must provide for Aboo Bakr from the Muslim treasury.

Aboo Bakr, the khaleefah, did not see it possible for him to sit and not provide for his family, and he was the leader of the believers! So then what about other than him from the average Muslims, from those who involve themselves in affairs of da’wah?

No doubt, this (neglect) is a contradiction of the Sunnah of the Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) and the Sunnah of the Companions (may Allaah be pleased with them), and it is very unfortunate to find so many families neglected for this reason.

More unfortunately, many parents do not want to marry their daughters to young men who are adhering to the Religion and seem righteous, fearing that they may neglect them like this. All of this, in reality, is a result of people’s poor understanding of the affairs of da’wah and misunderstandings about the Religion.

I am amazed by some people who involve themselves in da’wah, and they do not properly understand affairs like this one. I say: Rather he is in need of someone to give him da’wah and to teach him the Sunnah before he teaches the people!

Begin with your own self, prohibit it from its evil; And when it ceases, then you are a wise one.

As-salaamu ‘Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu.
The following is a brief translation of the biography of
Ash-Shaykh Ahmad bin ‘Umar bin Saalim Baazmool found on
sahab.

His Name and Lineage:

He is the noble Shaykh and the compassionate father, the teacher, Ahmad bin ‘Umar bin Saalim bin Ahmad bin ‘Ubood, Aboo ‘Umar Baazmool as-Salafee al-Makkee. He is from the tribe Aal Zamool, which has its lineage going back to al-Kindah.

His Birth and Upbringing:

He was born in Makkah. This is where he grew up and began his first studies under the hands of the scholars of Makkah.

His Teachers:

Ash-Shaykh, the ‘Allaamah, Doctor Rabeeý bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee under whom he studied Sharh Kitaab as-Tawheed of Shaikhul Islaam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab, Sharh Kitaab as-Sharee’ah of Aajurry, Sharh ‘Aqeedah Ashaabul Hadeeth of as-Saboonee, and read to him parts of Saheeh Muslim and other then that.

His own brother, Ash-Shaykh Muhammad bin ‘Umar Baazmool, under whom he benefited a lot and graduated with, and studied many books, which includes Kitaab as-Tawheed of Shaikhul Islaam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab, Bulooghul Maraam of al-Haafidh Ibn Hajar, and Waraqaat of al-Joonee and many treatises of Shaikhul Islaam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab on Tawheed, and other books, and studied the Muqaddimah on Usoolu-Tafseer of Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah, and also studied Mabaahith fee ‘Uloomul Qur’aan and other books and Treatises. He got Ijaazahs from most of the Riwayahs.

Ash-Shaykh, Doctor Waseeullaah Abbaas, under whom he studied Nuzhatuh-Nadhar and attended many of his lessons on ‘Umdatul Ahkaam and during masters he studied takhreej and studies of asaneed and other sciences.

He studied with other than them  from the Mashaykh.

His Ijaazahs on Hadeeth:

He got Ijazaahs to narrate from a group of scholars. The number of scholars who gave ijazahs exceeds more than hundred, and from different parts of the Islamic world. And from them include; Ash-Shaykh Muhammad Abdullaah as-Soomalee, Ash-Shaykh Ahmad bin Yahya an-Najmee (رحمهم الله تعالى), Ash-Shaykh Abdullaah Ada ash-Shanqeetee , Ash-Shaykh Rabeeý bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee , Ash-Shaykh Muhammad bin Abdullaah as-Sabeel, Ash-Shaykh Yahyaa bin Uthmaan al-Mudarris, Ash-Shaykh Abdullaah bin Abdul Azeez al-Aqeel, Ash-Shaykh Waseeullaah Abbaas, and Ash-Shaykh Muhammad bin ‘Umar Baazmool (حفظهم الله تعالى).

They (his teachers) grant him ijaaza, an absolute ijaazah of all their narrations and this is a blessing of Allaah Ta’la on our Shaykh.

The Praise of the Kibaarul ‘Ulamaa on the Shaykh:

Many from the Ahlul ‘Ilm praise him and recommended his works, among them are:

Ash-Shaykh, the ‘Allaamah Abdullaah bin Abdu-Rahmaan Bassaam, the Head of Muhkamatul Kubraa, the student of al-Imaam Naasir as-Sa’dee said: “Praise be to Allaah, and prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and I proceed: The brother Ash-Shaykh Ahmad bin ‘Umar bin Saalim Baazmool as-Saoodiy is from the students of knowledge who graduated from the Ummul Quraa University in the field of Kitaab and Sunnah. He is a person of deen and who is steadfast with efficiency in salaat, as an Imaam and in his sermons and lectures…” (15/ 5/ 1416هـ).

Ash-Shaykh Ahmad bin Yahya an-Najmee said in his preface to the book ‘Duraru-Sunniyyah’: “Praise be to Allaah, prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allaah and to his family and companions. And I proceed: I prelude Ash-Shaykh, Al-‘Allaamah Ahmad bin ‘Umar bin Saalim Baazmool’s (وفقه الله) book with the name Duraru-Sunniyyah fee Thanaa ‘Ulamaa ‘alaa Mamlakatul ‘Arabiyyatu Saoodiyyah” (29/ 12/ 1424هـ).

And Ash-Shaykh Ahmad bin Yahya an-Najmee also said in his preface to ‘as-Sunnah feema yata’allaq boolil Ummah’: “Praise be to Allaah, prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allaah and to his family and Companions. And I proceed: I was sent the book ‘as-Sunnah feema yata’allaq boolil Ummah’ of Al-‘Allaamah as-Salafeee Ahmad bin ‘Umar bin Saalim Baazmool, I have read most of it, my works has come between me completing it,..I found the chapters to be excellent.” (1/11/ 1424هـ).

Ash-Shaykh, Doctor ‘Uwaid bin ‘Iyaad al-Matarfee, former Head of Deparment of judiciary, said: The brother, al-Ustaadh Ahmad bin ‘Umar bin Saalim Baazmool…has an excellent understanding of knowledge and in knowledge based issues. And in reading and understanding, improving the intellect with the knowledge based researches, which qualifies him to be from the people who one takes benefits from his ‘ilm. I ask for him good and may Allaah benefit Islaam and Muslims from him.” ( 19/ 4/ 1415هـ)

Ash-Shaykh Muhammad bin Abdullaah as-Sabeel, Imaam and Khateeb of Masjidul Haraam, saidon 20/10/1423هـ : “The brother Ash-Shaykh Ahmad bin ‘Umar bin Saalim Baazmool, is from the good students of ‘ilm, he got his Masters from Ummul Quraa University, and he makes great effort in calling to Allaah, making the people aware on the matters of their deen, I know him to be upon the correct aqeedah, traversing the manhaj of Ahlu-Sunnah wal Jama’ah, and warning against Ahlul Bid’ah wal Ahwa.”

His Emminence, Ash-Shaykh, Doctor Saalih Al-Fawzaan, a member of the Permanent Committee of Educational Research and Religious Verdicts, said about his book ‘Madaarij’ on 7/3/1425هـ : “Praise be to Allaah, and I proceed: I have read this book which is authored by our brother for the sake of Allaah, Ahmad bin ‘Umar bin Saalim Baazmool, on the topic ‘Clearing the doubts of al-Khawarij’. Praise be to Allaah, I find it good how he refutes the doubts of this dangerous and corrupted sect…May Allaah reward the author of this book with good, for he has clarified the condition of this dangerous sect with an excellent clarification, falsifying their doubts, and may Allaah make this book beneficial in refuting the opposers.”

Ash-Shaykh, the ‘Allaamah, al-Ustaadh, Doctor Rabeeý bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee said:”Praise be to Allaah, prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allaah and to his family and companions. And I proceed: The brother Ahmad bin ‘Umar bin Saalim Baazmool, I know him to be of good character in his akhlaaq, in his deen, and in his manhaj and ‘aqeedah, in his teachings and da’wah. He asked for this tazkiyah from me so I give it as I believe him to be deserving of it.” (27/ 11 / 1417هـ)

Others also have praised Ash-Shaykh Ahmad bin ‘Umar bin Saalim Baazmool, which is not mentioned here.

His Books

He has quite a number of books which include:

1- Risalaata ‘Umar bin Khattab ilaa Abee Moosa al-Ah’ari fee Gadaa wa Adaabuhu Riwaya wa Diraya.
2- Al Madaarij fee Kashf ash-Shubuhaat al khawarij.
3- As-Sunnah feema yata’allaq booleel ummah.
4- Durarus-Sunniyah fee thana al-ulama ‘ala mamlakatul ‘arabiyyah as-sauoodiyyah
5- Dawlatul Tawheed was-Sunnah.
6- Tuhfatul Ama’ee bi ma’rifatu Hudood mas’ee wa ahkaam sa’ee.
7- Hajiyyatul Ahaadeeth Nabawiyyah al-Waaridah fil Tibbi wal’ilaaj.
8- Khatoorat Naqdil Hadeeth.
9- An-Najm al-Baadee fee Tarjumatu Shaykh al-Allaamah as-Salafee Yahyaa bin Uthmaan adeem Aabaadee.
10- Intifaadaat al-‘Aliyyah li manhaj al-kharajaat wa-taa’aat wal-maktabaat wal-maraakiz as-saihah wahuwa kitaab alf mashaarika ma’a as-Shaykh Ahmad bin Yahya al-Zahraanee.
11- Qawaaid wa dawaabit fee figh al faraaid wal mawareeth.
